Man Charged with Assault in Alleged Break-in at Beverly Hills Home
BEVERLY HILLS – A man who allegedly broke into a Beverly Hills home last week and struggled with a security guard was charged today with felony assault.
Nicholas Samuel Marino, 23 (dob 1-29-1983), of Newport Beach was scheduled to appear after 2 p.m. today for arraignment in Division 2 of Beverly Hills Superior Court.
Marino was charged in case No. SA062436 with one count of assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury. Bail for the defendant, currently in custody, was recommended at $30,000.
Authorities said Marino was stabbed by the security guard during a scuffle Wednesday night inside the home located in the 1100 block of Tower Road. The defendant was hospitalized for a short time, and then transferred to the custody of the Beverly Hills Police Department.
