Sylmar Man Charged with Attempted Murder
SAN FERNANDO – A 34-year-old Sylmar man was charged today with multiple counts of attempted murder after he allegedly stood in the middle of a Sylmar street on Tuesday and fired on acquaintances.
Damian Manciocchi, (dob 1-10-75), was charged in case PA064834 with three counts of attempted murder with a gun use allegation and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, said Deputy District Attorney Karen Rizzo. He is being held on $3.05 million bail.
He is scheduled to be arraigned after 1:30 p.m. at San Fernando Superior Court, Department S.
Manciocchi allegedly began firing at neighbors in the 14300 block of Beaver Street. He fired at three people. No one was hit or injured. He then allegedly pointed the gun at a woman who was driving home, but did not fire at her. All four people live near Manciocchi’s mother’s home. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
