Arraignment Scheduled for Triple Murder Suspects

COMPTON – Three suspected gang members who allegedly gunned down three victims in a Compton apartment in March are scheduled to be arraigned today on capital murder charges.

Jose Alfredo Prieto, 21 (dob 7-29-87), Jesse Robles, 19 (dob 3-19-90), and Hector Martin Prieto, 18 (dob 7-13-90), were each charged Friday in case No. TA106590 with three counts of murder, said Deputy District Attorney Kenneth Lynch, deputy in charge of the Hardcore Gang Division’s Compton branch. The murder charges include the special circumstances of multiple murders, murder for financial gain, murder during the commission of a robbery and murder to further the activities of a criminal street gang, making it a potential death penalty case. Prosecutors have not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty.

The three allegedly planned a robbery to raise bail money for Prieto’s mother. On March 29, they broke into an apartment in the1200 block of East Rosecrans Avenue where Hector Prieto allegedly fatally shot Sinecia Miller, Andrew Williams and Ronald Carter. The three suspects then fled.

They later were arrested and charged, along with three other men, with an unrelated April 3 assault, robbery and carjacking and were in jail when authorities solved the triple homicide.

They are scheduled to be arraigned after 8:30 a.m. in Compton Superior Court, Department D. They are being held without bail.
